The Great Barrier Reef is the most expansive coral reef in the world, occupying over 900 small islands and made up of almost 3,000 reefs.

It is located in the Australian Coral Sea and stretches over 2,500 miles, making it visible even from outer space. Considered one of the seven natural wonders of the world, this reef is rich in diverse marine life—including endangered species such as red bass and red-throat emperor, over 30 species of dolphins, porpoises, and whales.
